If you have wood and you just want the wood sawn – we can work something out. We’re flexible on what to charge:

  • If you want to keep all the wood – then you can pay us by the hour, board foot, or day.
  • If you are willing to split the wood – we might cut the wood for no charge – just half the wood.
  • We would prefer you bring the logs to us. If we have to go to you then there are mileage charges, higher per hour charges, etc
  • If there is any metal in your logs (nails, screws, fencing, etc) – you will have to pay for every saw blade ruined by the metal in the logs.
  • I assume you have read about our drying process about how you have to have pallets to store the wood on, stickers, carefully stack the wood, etc. We assume YOU are doing that. If you want us to do that – let us know and we add additional charges for that.

  • We assume you will provide a tractor, skid steer, forklift to load the logs onto the sawmill. Logs can be very heavy – thousands of pounds.
  • We assume you will supply at least one person to assist us to load logs on sawmill and remove lumber after it is sawn. This is a tough job. You might want 2 or 3 people so they can rest.
  • We assume you have a large, flat, dry area for us to setup and mill on.
